The sirens wail through the darkness, but I can see nothing.
The lights click on, revealing my location and also blinding me for a few seconds. I am in a white room. Everything is pure white. I slowly get up on my feet from my position on the blindingly white, polished floor. I walk sluggishly to the door in my bare feet, placing my shaking hand on to the cold platinum doorknob, twisting it in halted movements.
I open the iron door to look out on a stretched out, seemingly endless hall. All white. Still dark, though. The lights didn't appear to be working. There are other doors placed along the long hall, all closed with no sign of light coming from them. All except one door near the middle of the hall, with white light spilling out from it and illuminating the dark hallway. I take cautious steps toward the door to peer through.
I hear a blood curdling scream that comes from the bottom of the stairwell in the exit. Suddenly alert, I race back to the room for shelter. Slamming the heavy metal door behind me, I sink to the floor and sigh with relief.
I could hear footsteps coming up from the lower level. The footsteps continued down the hallway towards my room. I could hear them right outside my door, and my pulse accelerated to lightning speed. I could hear whatever was out there whispering, calling my name and beckoning me to come out and play.
A jolt from behind threatened to break the door down. I flew across the room, landing painfully against the opposite wall. The door opened, and I turned around to face whatever creature that had stepped through my door.
Nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to lay my eyes on. It resembled a girl, but had black doll eyes and long black hair. It had a white dress on, but the dress was stained with red. It carried a bloodied knife in its right hand. Blood dripped from its dress, staining the floor with drops of crimson. It approached me, cocking its head at an odd angle and whispering my name. I rose to attack it. I readied my fist to strike, and swung.
Blackness filled my vision, and I collapsed.
I awoke, and the sirens were wailing again. That was odd.
They had stopped a while ago.
The lights flashed on, just as before, showing the same room. The creature was no longer here. I walk towards the door, faster this time. Wrenching the knob to the side, I walked out into the dark hallway. It was the same scene. Untouched. The same door was opened, white light still shining out from the stairwell. I approached the stairwell, walking quickly down the stairs.
Suddenly, the exactly same scream filled the stairwell, causing me to grimace. A door opened at the bottom, and the creature stepped through. There was one difference about it though. Spindly legs had sprouted on its back, the creature dangling from them. The creature crawled up the stairs toward me, its black eyes lifeless and its stitched on mouth stretching into a creepy smile.
My legs readied themselves to jump. I sprung and-
The stairwell vanished and I felt myself crash on the stairs. Metal clanged as I made contact with them.
The sirens began crying again.
I awoke in the same room again.
The lights flared on again, except this time the creature's face was less than ten inches above my face. Its evil smile glared down on me.
This was going to be a problem
The world turned black once again.
