Poems

I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE poems!!!!! I'm not that great at writing them, but I can do it a little bit. Mostly free-verse though. If you want to write one, go ahead and comment below, but if you don't then don't, nobody will blame you. If you like this one, comment, but if you don't then keep your trap shut about it. If you have a topic that you want me to write a poem about, then comment. This one is about heartbreak. Here goes.

You can feel your chest crushing
Your heart is bleeding
The whispers of doubt and discouragement hang in your ears like fingers of lingering fog
People tell you to look up
There is still light
But you are still in your own little world
Filled with hate, sadness, regret, darkness
If only you had said something
Done something about it
But you didn't
You can't change that
And then, still stuck in the darkness
You look up
The light is blinding, yet it warms you somehow
For a time, you can feel your heart mending
Muscle knitting together
Making you who you once were
Making you human
Once again
